ACTS 3: Write a gratitude list
Come join this journey as we continue through the Bible and travel with Jesus’ followers through the Book of Acts. It’s an exciting adventure full of twists and turns. We’ll read a chapter a day and I’ll provide a link to the chapter in the NIV(UK) version, but you can read the chapter in whatever version you like. I’ll then share some short reflections, but the important part is the last part: ACTION. Let’s start acting on what we are reading. Join me in one small act inspired each day by the chapter for that day.
Are you up for the challenge?
Then let’s continue!
READ: Acts 3
REFLECTION: Peter and John have no money to give this lame man. And yet what they do have to give is worth far more than anything money could buy.
Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you.
What they offer is life-changing.
And immediately, they make sure everyone knows that what they have done has been made possible by Jesus. Only Jesus. This Jesus that the people disowned and handed over to be killed. This Jesus, the author of life.
It is Jesus’ name and the faith that comes through him that has completely healed him, as you can all see.
Peter speaks of times to come – times of refreshing and restoration. And this is available to every single one of us.
God said to Abraham, “Through your offspring all peoples on earth will be blessed.”
ACTION: Write a gratitude list
We each have so much to be grateful to God for, don’t we?
Let’s take time to focus today on what we do have, rather than what we don’t have. For in Jesus, we have the resources to change lives. Our own life has been changed. What Jesus has done for each one of us is remarkable.
We are blessed. Let’s give God the thanks and glory for that. Write a list of all the things that you are grateful to God for right now.
I have a feeling that act will refresh and restore in itself.
