INTRODUCTION: We all need role models in the faith. In 1 Corinthians 4:16, Paul says ‘Therefore I urge you to imitate me.’  Now Paul may not seem the obvious choice as a role model. Paul’s had a bad press for some of the things he’s said, statements that have been taken out of context and used to promote prejudice and condemnation. However, Paul’s passion for the good news of the Jesus story can be an inspiration to us all and so this month, we’re using the ‘Be like Bob’ meme that went viral on Facebook last year as a framework for our journey through 2 Corinthians.

Be like Paul.

INSPIRATION: 2 Corinthians 6:14 – 7:1

THIS IS PAUL

Paul sees his body as a sacred space for God to live in.

He therefore walks away from everything that might damage or distract him.

Paul has a healthy view of what it is to be holy.

BE LIKE PAUL

VERSE OF THE DAY: 

Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.  2 Corinthians 7:1
